About Fireboy and Watergirls.io
Fireboy and Watergirls.io brings the elemental duo back to the Forest Temple in a streamlined io-style package. Fireboy and Watergirl are exploring again, hunting diamonds through temple rooms built on the franchise's core contradiction: the hero made of fire dies in water, the hero made of water dies in lava, and the puzzles only open when both make it through.
This version plays as a character-switch adventure — you guide one hero at a time, flipping between fire and water to work through switches, platforms and hazard lanes that only one of them can cross. It is the ideal solo way to experience the classic co-op formula, or a warm-up round before the real two-player arguing starts on the original.
Runs free in the browser with no download — WASD on desktop, touch on mobile. Collect the diamonds, respect the elements, and remember which one you are playing before you step into the pool.
How to play

Tips & tricks
- Scout with the immune hero first: send Fireboy across lava lanes to map the room before Watergirl commits to her route.
- Switch points are safe zones — if you are ever unsure what a hazard does, stand at a swap point and test with the right character.
- Collect diamonds in passing on the first run; some are placed on paths you only cross once per character.
- Green goo (and anything neither element survives) is still lethal to both — the swap mechanic never overrides that rule.
