Shooting games are at their best when there is another human on the wrong end of your aim, so this shelf is built around duels: two gunslingers, one arena, and a scoreboard that settles every argument. You get weapon-dropping brawls where the sky rains rocket launchers, bow-and-arrow contests decided by a single headshot, quickdraw showdowns in haunted western towns, and dodgeball reinvented as an armor-piercing sport. Matches are short, rematches are instant, and the loser always gets one more game to prove the keyboard slipped.

The formats vary more than you might expect. Precision duels reward patience and timing over spray; arena shooters reward movement, cover and knowing when to grab the better gun; and at least one starfield hands two pilots the same asteroid belt and lets gravity sort out the rivalry. A few of the bigger battlefields are online rooms where you will share a server with other players or capable bots — each game page says honestly which modes it offers before you commit.

Everything here runs in the browser with no download, and every page lists the exact key map for both players side by side, with touch controls where the developer ships them. If you want a fair fight, pick mirrored weapons and symmetric maps. If you want chaos, pick the arena where the best gun falls in the middle and let gravity do the matchmaking. Either way, remember the house rule of every good duel: the winner reloads, the winner stays humble.

House rules matter less than quick reflexes here, but a surprising amount of craft hides under the chaos: reading spawn points, controlling the middle of the map, and knowing exactly when a risky reload is about to cost you the round.

And when a rival starts winning too comfortably, the shelf has a cure for that as well: hand them the controller drift excuse before they ask for one, then beat them anyway.
