About Paint or Seek
Someone in this room is furniture. Paint or Seek is hide-and-seek with a paintbrush twist: before the seeker arrives, hiders repaint their own bodies to match the wall, the couch, the patterned wallpaper — whatever is closest — and then freeze in the most convincing pose they can hold. When the timer ends, the seeker walks the map, shooting at anything that looks one coat of paint too fresh.
The genius is that camouflage is never perfect. Paint coverage has gaps, poses never quite match shadows, and the longer you hid, the harder it is to remember which wall you were supposed to be. Meanwhile the seeker is under their own clock, punished for spraying the room blindly. It becomes a psychological standoff: how still can you stay while a crosshair sweeps across your left shoe?
Rounds are short, lobbies are lively, and the taunt system exists purely for people who want to get caught with style. Few games convert a childhood argument — you move, no you move — into digital form this faithfully. Bring a friend and take turns being the liar; the seeking half of the game is half the fun.
How to play

Tips & tricks
- Match the biggest surface near you, not the closest one — a half-matched couch reads as a hider, a well-matched wall reads as a wall.
- Crouch-height poses fail less than standing ones; furniture is expected to be short.
- As seeker, sweep room edges and corners first — hiders cluster where the paint palette is richest.
- Spend your last seconds of hiding adjusting the camera to a viewpoint the seeker will actually see, not the one you find prettiest.
