Deep space, a modest ship, and an asteroid belt with delusions of hostility. Space Shooter VS Aliens and Asteroids is a throwback arcade blaster: steer, shoot, survive, and turn the wreckage into upgrades. Every destroyed rock and alien contributes to a ship that gets noticeably meaner — faster missiles, more speed, hulls that forgive one more mistake than they used to.
The headline feature is the VS mode. Two pilots share the screen with split controls — one on WASD, one on the arrows — and settle who the better space ace is while the aliens provide hostile commentary. Alternatively, fly together and treat the asteroid field as a cooperative pest-control contract. The game is happy in either mood, which makes it the rare shooter that works as both a team-building exercise and the end of one.
Progression is the hook: early runs feel fragile and scrappy, and a few upgrades later you are bullying the same belt that used to bully you. Waves keep arriving, aliens keep interrupting, and the timer on a coffee break quietly stops mattering. Old-school in the best way — one more run is always the last run.
How to play

Tips & tricks
- Spend early upgrades on movement: dodging pays dividends in every later wave, while raw firepower waits its turn.
- In VS mode, fight near the asteroid drift — flying clean while shooting is easier for whoever owns the open lanes.
- Clear small rocks first when overwhelmed; their fragments are upgrades, and a crowded screen kills more pilots than aliens do.
- Save the big missiles for alien formations — spending them on pebbles is the classic rookie donation to the void.
