About Basketball Legends

Basketball Legends 2020 is MadPuffers' arcade take on street basketball, and the most complete two-player basketball package in the browser. Play a full tournament against the CPU or a quick match against your best friend on the same keyboard — either way, games come down to highlighted dunks, blocks at the rim and three-pointers with attitude.

Every player gets a full toolkit: sprint, jump, slap, throw and dunk, plus special moves that trigger when the meter fills. The physics lean cartoonish in your favor — big air, big slams, comebacks that stay alive until the buzzer. Quick matches against a friend settle scores in under five minutes, which is exactly the right length for a grudge match.

Free in the browser, no download, with dedicated key clusters for player one and player two on desktop and touch controls on mobile. If Basketball Stars is the duel, Legends is the highlight reel — same studio, bigger personalities.

How to play

Desktop Player 1: WASD to move and jump, X/Z/V to slap, throw and dunk. Player 2: arrow keys to move and jump, K/L for actions.
Mobile Each side of the screen gets a joystick and action buttons for slap, throw, dunk and the special move.

Tips & tricks

  1. Special moves charge as you play — save them for the last minute of a close game rather than dumping them at 10-2.
  2. Jump timing beats height. A well-timed smaller jump blocks more dunks than panicking at the apex.
  3. Against the CPU in tournament, mid-range shots are underrated — the AI contests threes and dunks harder than floaters.
  4. In two-player, fake a drive then step back; sprint-happy defenders fly past and give you a free look.

FAQ

How many players does Basketball Legends support?
Two players on one keyboard in versus mode, plus solo play against the CPU in quick matches and the tournament ladder.
Is Basketball Legends the same as Basketball Stars?
Both are MadPuffers basketball games with similar DNA. Legends leans arcade — special meters and bigger dunk physics — while Stars is the purer one-on-one duel.
Does it cost anything?
No. It plays free in the browser with no install; the developer monetizes with short ads between games.
Can I play on a school Chromebook?
In most cases yes — it is a standard HTML5 game that needs only Chrome. If your network blocks game sites outright, no browser game will load.
