About Red Hands

Red Hands is the schoolyard clapping game where the strong survive and the slow get stinging palms, rebuilt for two players and one screen. Take turns attacking and defending: the attacker slaps, the defender dodges — and whoever's reaction is slower ends up with the red hands of the title. Check who's the first one to get hot hands, best of whatever your friendship can survive.

The one-on-one mind game is intact. Attackers vary their timing to bait early dodges; defenders read the wind-up instead of reacting to the clap. Win exchanges to charge the meter, and the game escalates from friendly taps to full-swing slaps that make the losing side's pixelated hands glow. It is reflex gaming stripped to one binary: dodge or don't.

Free in the browser with no download — mouse or button controls on desktop, tap on mobile. Solo mode lets you practice against the computer before you represent your reflexes in public. Rounds take seconds; grudges take longer.

How to play

Desktop Each side uses one button: attack on your turn, dodge when defending — the on-screen prompt shows whose moment it is.
Mobile Tap your side of the screen to slap or dodge, with both players sharing one device.

Tips & tricks

  1. Defend by reading the wind-up animation, not the sound — reaction to the contact frame is always too late.
  2. Attack with rhythm breaks: three fast taps then a slow one lands on defenders who have settled into a beat.
  3. Watch your opponent's dodge habit — most players dodge the same direction under pressure, and that direction is exploitable.
  4. Save meter-powered heavy slaps for after a missed dodge; the psychological hit of a max slap lands harder than the damage.
