About PixelPooL - 2 Player

PixelPooL - 2 Player is a crisp little co-op platformer about two pixel men — one red, one blue — and the door that will not open for half a team. Every stage is a compact obstacle course of spikes, gaps and jump puzzles, and both travelers have to reach the exit door alive for the level to count.

The double jump is the heart of the movement. A second mid-air hop turns impossible-looking ledges into stepping stones and near-misses into landings, and mastering its rhythm — when to save it, when to spend it, when to chain it off a wall — is the difference between a clean run and a long series of cartoon deaths. Obstacles kill on contact, so the game rewards pairs who move deliberately rather than daredevils who leap first and blame lag afterward.

It is a short, sharp package designed for two people and one keyboard: coordinate your jumps, wait for each other at the nasty parts, and enjoy the small competitive thrill of being the pixel man who reaches the door first — even though the level refuses to officially care. Red and blue cross the finish line together or not at all.

How to play

Desktop The red pixel man runs on WASD, the blue one on the arrow keys — tapping the jump key twice grants the extra mid-air hop.
Mobile Touch pads put a move-and-jump set on each side of the screen for two players.

Tips & tricks

  1. The double jump reaches farther than it looks — commit to the second hop late for maximum distance.
  2. Neither player wins alone: the door needs both pixel men, so pace the run to the slower partner.
  3. Scout spike patterns before jumping; most deaths in this game are on the takeoff side, not the landing.
  4. Assign the harder route to whoever is steadier — swapping lanes mid-level is legal and often wise.

FAQ

Can I play PixelPooL alone?
It is designed as a two-player shared-keyboard platformer — both the red and blue pixel man must reach the door.
What makes the levels challenging?
Contact with obstacles is fatal, and the ledges are spaced to demand confident double jumps under pressure.
How long is the game?
Stages are short and snappy — it is built for quick co-op sessions and instant restarts rather than a long campaign.
